Capture from running systems
Live-capture wizard: file, registry, AppData, services, and dependency capture from a running Windows system when installer media is missing or incomplete.
MSIX packaging and modern delivery
Forge captures legacy Windows applications from running systems, converts MSI and App-V to MSIX, and produces Intune-ready and AppAttach-ready packages. AI-guided routing handles signing, manifest fix-ups, and dependency resolution when in-house MSIX skills are thin.

What Forge does
A capture-first platform that produces MSIX, AppAttach, IntuneWin, and MSI from one source application. AI-guided routing handles MSIX-specific execution when in-house skills are thin.
Package installed Windows applications from live systems when installer media is lost, incomplete, or no longer usable.

Produce MSIX for Intune, AppAttach for Azure Virtual Desktop, IntuneWin for endpoint deployment, and MSI for legacy targets from one source capture.
See output formats →
MSIX signing, manifest fix-ups, and modification packages handled inline so the workflow does not split across external tooling.
Signing and manifestsEmbedded EtherAssist guidance routes packaging choices, resolves dependencies, and closes the MSIX skills gap inside the workflow.
AI-guided packagingRegistry and AppData mapping surfaces hidden dependencies early, so testing and deployment hit fewer surprises late in the cycle.
Dependency mappingConnect Cursor, Copilot, Claude, Codex, or a local model. Teams use the AI tooling they already trust without being locked into one vendor.

Who it is for
Packaging engineers and endpoint teams use Forge to make Windows 10 estates ready for Windows 11, Intune, and AVD without rebuilding from installer media.
Book a fit check →Channel partners and MSP packaging factories use Forge to standardise capture and output across many customer estates, with CLI and MCP automation for scale.

Capture method, output formats, AppAttach, Intune delivery, and channel availability: the things teams ask before testing Forge on a real application.
No. Forge captures directly from running Windows systems, so packages can be produced even when the original installer media is missing, incomplete, or no longer usable. This is one of the most common reasons teams start with Forge rather than traditional packaging tools.
Yes. Signing, manifest fix-ups, and modification packages are handled inside the Forge workflow, with certificate management supported for both customer-managed and Microsoft-trusted chains. Teams do not need to switch to external signing tools for the MSIX delivery path.
Yes. The same capture produces AppAttach-ready MSIX packages for Azure Virtual Desktop, alongside IntuneWin, MSIX, and MSI outputs. Windows 365 does not currently support AppAttach, so Cloud PC delivery uses MSIX or IntuneWin from the same capture.
Yes. Forge captures from running systems, which means you can package applications even when the original installer media is lost or unavailable. This is one of its most commonly used capabilities for legacy estate work.
Forge supports capture from Windows XP through Windows 11, covering the full range of environments typically encountered in legacy migration programmes.
Forge produces MSI, MSIX, App-V, IntuneWin, and MSIX AppAttach packages from a single capture. MSIX and IntuneWin cover Intune and Windows 365 delivery; MSIX AppAttach is the delivery format for Azure Virtual Desktop (Windows 365 does not currently support AppAttach). One capture, multiple modern delivery targets without re-running the capture process.
EtherAssist is embedded within the Forge platform and provides AI-guided routing at each packaging stage, including dependency resolution, compatibility assessments, and MSIX fix-up recommendations. It reduces the manual investigation needed when applications fail to package cleanly, and closes the MSIX skills gap for teams without dedicated packagers.
